Pricing questions
What counts towards my plan limit?
Active wine club subscriptions. Imported subscriptions count too, so check you have room before bringing an existing club across — an import won't run if it would take you over.
What happens if I reach the limit?
Every club switches to a waitlist rather than turning people away, and you'll have had emails at 50%, 80% and 100% of the limit. Existing members are untouched: deliveries and billing carry on exactly as before.
Can I change plans later?
Upgrade any time from Settings > Billing in the app, and clubs start accepting signups again straight away. You can downgrade too, as long as your subscription count already fits the smaller plan.
How am I billed?
In USD every 30 days through Shopify, on the same bill as everything else. No separate invoices and no setup fee.
Do you take a cut of club orders?
No. There are no per-transaction fees on any plan, including the free one. What your club earns is yours.
Can I remove the Tectalic branding?
Yes. The “Powered by Tectalic Wine Club” line on the signup widget and customer emails can be switched off on any paid plan.
Does signing members up in Shopify POS cost extra?
It's included in every plan. Each location that uses it needs Shopify POS Pro, which Shopify bills you for (see Shopify POS pricing). Your store also needs Shopify Payments, which takes the card at the counter and charges every renewal after it. QR code signups at the cellar door work on any Shopify plan without POS Pro. Shopify POS signups are in early access, so ask us to switch them on.
How the plans work
Start free, upgrade when full
Every winery starts on Startup 10. When a club approaches its subscription limit you get alerts at 50%, 80% and 100%, and new signups join a waitlist until you upgrade.
Only Shopify bills you
Charges appear on your regular Shopify bill. There are no separate invoices or setup fees, and we never take a percentage of your club orders.
Cancel any time
No lock-in contracts. Uninstall the app and your Shopify store, products and customers stay exactly as they are.
